Conventional Pipe Truss Structures

We design, fabricate, and execute conventional pipe truss structures for a wide range of applications including industrial sheds, canopies, walkways, platform shelters, auditoriums, and large-span roofing systems. Pipe truss structures are a time-tested solution where strength, flexibility in design, and cost efficiency are required.

Unlike pre-engineered tapered sections, pipe trusses are fabricated using circular hollow sections (CHS pipes), offering excellent structural behavior in both compression and tension, along with a clean architectural appearance. These systems are particularly suitable for medium to large span roofs, curved or sloped profiles, and projects requiring customized structural geometry.

Key Advantages of Pipe Truss Systems:

  • Efficient Load Distribution
Circular sections perform uniformly under axial loads, making them ideal for truss applications

  • Flexibility in Design
Can be fabricated into arched, sloped, or complex geometries

  • Cost-Effective for Medium Spans
Suitable for projects where full PEB systems may not be required

  • Aesthetic Appeal
Smooth tubular members provide a cleaner and more architectural finish

  • Ease of Fabrication & Erection
Can be fabricated in segments and assembled efficiently at site

Scope of Work:

  • Structural design and detailing
  • Fabrication of pipe trusses (cutting, notching, welding)
  • Surface preparation and painting (primer + finish coats)
  • Transportation and site erection
  • Roofing and cladding installation
  • Civil support works (if included)

Technical Configuration

Material: Circular Hollow Sections (MS Pipes – IS 1161 / equivalent)
Truss Type:
Triangular / Pratt / Howe configurations
Arched or pitched roof trusses
Span Range: Typically 10 m to 40 m (or as per design)
Spacing: Based on load and roofing system

Roofing:
  • PPGI sheets / profile sheets
  • Polycarbonate skylights (optional)
  • Structural Components
  • Main pipe trusses (top chord, bottom chord, web members)
  • Purlins (MS / GI) for sheet support
  • Bracing systems for lateral stability
  • Base plates and anchor bolt connections
  • Roofing accessories (ridge, flashing, gutters, downpipes)
Applications
  • Industrial sheds and workshops
  • Factory canopies and extensions
  • Platform shelters and walkways
  • Auditorium and hall roofing
  • Temporary or semi-permanent structures
  • Execution Considerations
  • Accurate cutting and joint alignment for proper load transfer
  • High-quality welding at node connections
  • Proper corrosion protection (primer + paint / galvanization)
  • Stable foundation and anchor bolt alignment
  • Adequate bracing for wind and lateral loads
